Donna Johnson
Education Consultant and Trainer
Education is a constantly evolving profession that often requires flexibility, patience and an open mind. Donna believes that teaching is one of the toughest jobs out there and wants to help teachers unlock or renew their own passion for teaching with the strategies she has learned with The Center for Teacher Effectiveness.
Donna has taught many different grade levels at many different schools. Fourth grade was her favorite grade to teach because children at that age are just developing a sense of self awareness and responsibility that teachers can impact for a lifetime. However, her time in the middle schools was a learning experience and challenged her to be a better teacher. This led her to CTE and the training she received in classroom management and differentiated learning inspired her to share their research based, effective practices that teachers can implement immediately in their own classrooms.
Donna decided to become an Educational Consultant and trainer because she is a natural mentor and enjoys sharing what she has learned with other teachers. Teaching is such a collaborative position and it is important that teachers know how to share their best practices in classroom management and differentiation so everyone in the school can benefit. Whether your entire school is trained in these strategies or you have a buddy teacher you can work with, the classroom management strategies will only add to what teachers are doing in their classrooms already.
Donna looks forward to training in schools, school districts, small groups and conferences. Educational Consulting has allowed her the freedom to care for her family, but also the time to continue researching teaching strategies she looks forward to sharing with you. “The most valuable resource that all teachers have is each other. Without collaboration our growth is limited to our own perspectives.” Robert John Meehan
